They hate me without a cause. Make the heart of this people not fat, and make their ears [not] heavy, and shut [not] their eyes; lest that they see [not] with their eyes, and hear [not] with their ears, and understand [not] with their heart, and [not] convert, and [not] be healed. For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and should be converted and I should heal them. Make his paths straight." Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill shall be made low and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough smooth. Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom revealed the arm of the Lord?
